Over the many decades of his professional career, the writer and thinker Idries Shah produced scores of titles relating to philosophy, traditional psychology, and human thought.

Published the world over in a multitude of languages, Shah’s corpus is widely regarded as one of the most important twentieth century contributions to the humanities.

Idries Shah Media has been established to release fresh collections of work by Idries Shah – including new anthologies, facsimiles of his original manuscripts and handwritten notes, as well as entire unpublished books, and a miscellany of other material gleaned from his private archives.

Owned wholly by The Estate of Idries Shah, the organization is designed to work in concert with The Idries Shah Foundation, and with Hoopoe Books, both of which do important work in representing Shah’s essential titles.

As such, Idries Shah Media will proceed along lines that Shah himself left, to integrate his work into the fabric of society.

As we progress, we shall make available new editions of the ‘Sufi Classics’ and associated material, much of which Shah published during his lifetime through The Octagon Press. In taking inspiration from that groundbreaking publishing firm, we are proud to be represented by its logo.
